ISMC MEPhI held a webinar on digital platforms in education

On the 20th of May, ISMC MEPhI in partnership with the Center for strategic research North-West Foundation held an online discussion on "Digital platforms and tools in education: how to make a choice in a high-speed transition?". The event was attended by more than 400 participants from more than 80 organizations from different regions of the Russian Federation and representatives of Universities of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

The discussion moderated by Dmitry Sanatov, Deputy Director of the Center for strategic research North-West Foundation. The discussion focused on a topic: infrastructure for hybrid learning.
Anna Tyshetskaya, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of the Far Eastern Federal University., shared her experience of the FEFU transition to distance learning, the stages of transition, and the tools used for online education.

Svetlana Kalmykova, Director of the North-West regional competence center for online learning at Peter the Great SpbPU., told about the problems of implementing the learning management system (LMS) and the difficulties of students studying online and shared how the hybrid learning format is implemented at Peter the Great SpbPU.

Alexey Odin, Co-founder of the world-famous Lingualeo Russian startup for teaching English, SKIPP CEO, told about the experience of developing his online platform and implemented educational projects, shared his vision of a modern educational platform.

Mikhail Rovnyagin, Associate Professor of MEPhI. Head of development of Machine Learning systems at PJSC Sberbank, noted the importance of working with big data in the educational process and presented a new "Big data processing Technologies" ISMC online training program. At the end of the discussion, Dmitry Sanatov summed up the results, and the audience expressed gratitude to the speakers and the organizer for the event, which discussed a very relevant topic for universities.
